Cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) properties
2015/12/15 view:
Cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) is sealed glass tubes filled with inert gas. When a high voltage on the tube, gas ionization to produce ultraviolet (UV) light. UV light excites an inner coating of phosphor to produce visible light. CCFL has a lot of very good features, including: an excellent low-cost white light source
High efficiency (power supply into the light out) Long life (> 25K hours) stable and predictable operating brightness can easily change a light weight
For the CCFL efficiency, life and maximize availability, it must take into account some of the unique characteristics they possess. This application note describes some of these CCFL characteristics. It should be noted that the data presented here are collected on a particular CCFL, depending on the application used by the CCFL modules, detailed data will change. However, the general trends described herein apply to all CCFL.
